We spotted one of these irresistible pop-up placemats made of recycled paper on Etsy’s front page, and we had to see who the maker was. We were full of delight to find Publique Living to be a San Francisco-based company, and even more pleased when designer Lian Ng accepted our invitation to join Modern Mouse!

Lian is a self-proclaimed aficionado of mid-20th century furniture and modern minimalist architecture, an interest that we think comes across quite nicely in his amazing work. If creating his line of die-cut and laser-cut designs wasn’t enough, Lian also teaches graphic design and typography at The Academy of Art University in SF! We look forward to presenting Lian’s line of Publique Living products to you, and welcome Publique Living to the family. Thanks so much!

You’ll make your gift-giving prowess known if you package it up with a lovely greeting card, gift enclosure and/or gift wrap from Feterie. We’re drawn to the vibrant colors and simple yet sophisticated patterns in Feterie’s paper products, which are inspired by founder and designer Cathe Huynh-Sison’s nomadic travels around the globe. And we appreciate the fact that all of Feterie’s products are printed using eco-friendly paper and soy ink (for products that are offset printed).

Based in San Jose, California, Cathe’s not only the driving force behind Feterie, she also touts credentials as an award-winning freelance designer and art director at her boutique design studio, chd. How she manages to accomplish all this and raise her soon-to-be two kids at the same time, we couldn’t tell ya. What we can tell you is how happy we are to welcome Feterie to the Modern Mouse family.
